Huawei’s first product launch event in September has concluded, unveiling a range of new devices such as the triple-folding screen, a new mini version of the tablet, new headphones, and more. This release can be described as an ecosystem-level announcement. Since HarmonyOS 5 system was initially optimized, Huawei has continuously introduced new products, covering smartphones, tablets, computers, headphones, smart screens, and televisions, gradually enriching its all-scenario product offerings. This move highlights Huawei’s direction for development: more comprehensive and perfected product ecosystems.
At the same time, Huawei’s latest flagship, the Huawei Mate XTs Extraordinary Master, has been officially announced and will be available for sale on September 12. Positioned in the flagship foldable screen market, the new device stands out with key features like the 3K large screen, top-tier productivity, satellite communication, Kirin 9020 chip, and flagship camera capabilities. Huawei’s triple-folding screen sets it apart from other foldable screens. Currently, only Huawei has achieved mass production of the triple-folding screen, with other phone brands expected to launch similar models next year, given the growing demand, especially in the business market, where it serves as a portable light office solution.

The processor of the new device has been officially revealed, featuring the self-developed Kirin 9020 flagship chip, with an 8-core, 12-thread CPU architecture, including one 2.5GHz large core, three 2.15GHz big cores, and four 1.6GHz small cores, supporting hyper-threading technology. The GPU is the Maleoon 920, with a frequency of 840MHz. Additionally, it is powered by HarmonyOS 5.1, which brings deep system-level optimizations, resulting in a 36% performance improvement. The combination of a self-developed operating system and processor allows for deep optimization across all aspects, pushing performance to the limit.
The new device features a 10.2-inch screen, identical to the Huawei Mate XT, with a resolution of 2232 x 3184 pixels (3K) and supports LTPO adaptive refresh rates, with a sampling rate of up to 240Hz. The display also supports 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. The screen features a composite ultra-tough laminated structure made of UTG glass and non-Newtonian fluid, improving its fold resistance. Furthermore, it incorporates Huawei’s Tian-style hinge system, allowing for double-folding and dual-track linkage. These advancements in both the screen material and hinge technology make the new device more durable.

The camera configuration has seen a significant upgrade, with the front camera remaining at 8MP and the rear camera upgraded to a quad-camera setup. The primary camera has a 50MP ultra-light-variable lens with a ten-stage physical aperture (F/1.4 to F/4.0) and supports OIS optical image stabilization. The secondary 40MP ultra-wide camera has an F/2.2 aperture, and the 12MP periscope telephoto camera comes with an F/3.4 aperture, also supporting OIS. Additionally, the camera system features a familiar red maple color lens. Both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording, while the rear camera also supports super slow-motion video at 1080P + 960fps. In terms of camera specs, the Huawei Mate XTs is quite similar to the Huawei Mate 70.
The new device keeps the same 5600mAh battery capacity, with charging speeds remaining unchanged: 66W wired, 50W wireless, and 7.5W reverse charging. In terms of communication, the device supports Tianlink satellite communication, along with Lingxi communication powered by AI algorithms. For mobile office tasks, the device supports multiple PC applications, making it suitable for light office work. It also supports a free multi-window mode for a multi-window experience similar to a computer. Basic features include side-mounted fingerprint recognition, NFC, infrared, and more. The new device is priced starting at 17,999 yuan (16GB + 256GB).
